NT scan (Nuchal traslucency) at week 12

NT scan is know as nuchal translucency which is a test that carry out by ultrasound to indicate the level of the risk of baby having chromosome anomaly . Nuchal translucency is a collection of fluid beneath the fetal skin behind of the neck of the baby by measuring the thickness of the fluid to assess the chromosome anomaly. The NT scan usually perform during 11 to 13week of pregnancy. This is because if the test perform less than 10 week, the baby is so tiny to measure the thickness of the fluid and if the baby perform more than 13 week, the excess fluid tend to absorbed by baby lymphatic system and the accuracy might be drop.

NT scan know as most accurate non invasive test to detect any chromosome anomaly during the pregnancy. If the measurement less than 3mm, the risk of having chromosome anomaly will be decrease and if the thickness is more than 3mm, the baby having high risk of chromosome anomaly. Hence, if the measurement found out to be greater than 3mm, usually most of the doctor will recommend the mother to perform another definite result such as CVS or amniosentesis if necessary. This test carry a small risk of miscarriage, therefore this test only will be carry out for high risk mother. In the same time, the present of nasal bone and the shape is will be scan also during the scan. The absent of the nasal bone or shorter nasal bone is one of the sign to indicate the baby is in high risk of chromosome anomaly.

Hence, i do perform the scan for my baby too. For the first time, my friend ms celynn the sonographer help me to scan my baby. But end up the whole 1hour the baby is not cooperating as the baby is lying up side down. For second attempt, i do it by my own and controlling the panel at the same time. Luckily the baby is in the correct position and the test is perform very smooth. Within 10minute i had finish the test by my own. Maybe the baby still wanna the mother to perform the test for him/her because all the scan previously is scan by my own. He/She is too shy scan by his/her aunty. Haha.

Below picture is the NT scan picture. Wonder why the measurement is not appear on the screen during save time. But all the measurement is 0.10cm or 0.11cm. Nasal bone is present. Overall appearance of the baby is in the nice condition, very active this time and not sleeping. The length of the baby CRL is about 5.54cm which is about 12week 1day.

Everything seems fine so far. Hope the bb continue growing healthily. Another 1 week will end for the first trimester.

Whole week sick during week 10 & active baby noted during week 11

For week 10, the whole week im feeling so sick and weak. I was keep sneezing, back pain , and little bit fever. But anyhow i still have to "tahan" it during scan. After finish work, will be on the bed directly. It was be very very tired. During morning time, mostly i lye on the bed too, i try to rest more myself before i go for work. Luckily my hubby is around, he helping me to do the packaging for the online order. I had consult to my dr too, they just let me know during pregnancy period no medication is allow except for the paracetamol. The dr even said if u can stand the pain , paracetamol u still need to avoid too. But end up, i had taken 1 tablet of paracetamol cause the migrain is super worst until i coundnt stand anymore. My hubby even send me to work all the way from bukit rahman putra to ampang and kota damansara too. Luckily the sick symptoms do not appear so sick during work time. It take about 1 week for me to fully recover. Most of the time i was on the bed if i do not have work on that day.

My back pain getting better up to today. No longer pain during wake up from the bed or turning around. I can walk more faster and more comfortable. Finally this early pregnancy symptoms dissapear as im so worry it will last until the end of pregnancy.

However, even in the sick period, i do scan my little bb frequently to monitor the growing process. Luckily the bb growing good in my womb and he/she was super active. When the bb was in sleeping mode, i purposely cough harder to make he/she wake up. Afterthat the bb will be actively move. The moment is like so funny when the bb is actively move after i had make a hard cough. hand and leg grow even more longer and the feet can be notice. The lenght was increase everyday as the cell division is like super fast. I even capture the first 4d for the bb. It not really very clear yet as my womb is like more to deeper side, penetration for 4d not that good. Hence the images of the bb not that clear yet.

The most excited part is all the video session:
this video is trying to peek something ~~ hehe ~~ but end up i google is still super early to know the gender ~ coz the organ tend to appear the same for girl and boy

This video is also very nice cause can see the front view face of the baby~ and the baby is like waving the little hand ~ so cute

This is the first 4D video for my little bb, even though is not that clear, but it quite fun to see the bb is moving in the womb.

Everything seems fine so far. Hope the bb continue growing healthily. Another 2 week will end for the first trimester. The early pregnancy symptoms getting dissapear and my baby seems to getting stable in my womb as the placenta can b notice to. Next week would like to do the NT scan for the bb.
